What is it, in one paragraph?
Exaim is an exam-prep platform for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB. It teaches the course — every topic on their specification, written for their exact exam board. Then it gives them past-paper questions, marks their answers against the real mark scheme, and tells them precisely which marks they dropped and why.
Everything it learns from that feeds a revision plan that changes daily, so they always know what to work on next. It’s built by people who taught and examined these qualifications.
Isn’t this just ChatGPT?
No, and the difference matters. ChatGPT will answer almost any question confidently — but it doesn’t know that AQA wants the word “reduced” and not “gained an electron”, or that a 6-mark question needs six distinct points to score full marks.
A general chatbot gives them an answer. Exaim tells them what an examiner would give them for it.
What it replaces.
Most students revise across seven or eight tabs that don’t know about each other. Exaim is all of it in one place, and it remembers everything they’ve done.

What we don’t claim
We have not run a controlled study, so we don’t claim Exaim causes higher final exam grades. Proving that properly needs random assignment to treatment and control groups, which we haven’t done. We’d rather tell you that than imply a result we can’t stand behind.
Is it safe, and is it cheating?
It’s revision, not submission
Your child practises past exam questions and gets marked against the scheme — the same thing a teacher does going through a paper. Nothing made in Exaim is meant for coursework or anything they hand in.
Not a chatbot on the open web
It works only within their course content. It is not a general-purpose assistant pointed at the internet.
No ads, ever
Exaim is paid for by subscription. We don’t sell advertising against students’ attention, and identifiable student work never trains any model.
Their data
We don’t sell or rent personal data. It is shared only with the subprocessors that run the service — hosting, analytics and support — and it is kept only as long as it is needed.

Parent questions.
Will this actually get used, or is it another abandoned subscription?
That’s the right question. Exaim uses streaks, XP and Study Pods — private groups of friends who see each other’s progress — specifically because social accountability keeps students coming back where willpower doesn’t. Use the free week to find out. If they haven’t opened it in seven days, don’t pay.
Which subjects are available?
Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics are live now. Further subjects — including Economics, Business and Computer Science — arrive through 2026. If their subject isn’t live yet, wait — don’t pay for it.
Which exam boards?
AQA and Edexcel at GCSE, and Cambridge, Edexcel and Oxford AQA at IGCSE. A-Level and IB are on the way for 2026.
Can I see how they’re getting on?
Yes, by email — there is no separate parent login to set up or remember. We send you a summary of what they have worked on, what was marked and what is next, so you can see it without asking them and without waiting for a parents’ evening. And it’s practice, not shortcuts: your child writes the answers, Exaim shows them how the marks work.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from account settings. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
