Questions about paying.
Something not here? Talk to a person.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free plan needs no card at all and has no trial clock — you can stay on it as long as you like. If you want the 7-day Pro trial, you can start that whenever you are ready.
Should I pay monthly or yearly?
Monthly is $9.99 and you can stop whenever you like, which suits anyone testing whether it gets used. Yearly is $99 and works out cheaper if they are sitting exams this academic year. Both cover every subject and every feature — the only difference is the commitment.
Is it per subject, or for everything?
For everything. If you study three subjects with us it is still the same price, and if a new subject goes live during your year you get it at no extra cost.
What exactly is limited on the free plan?
Only the marking. You get 2 marked papers a day, and a re-sit counts as one. Everything you learn from — notes, flashcards, quizzes, every topic of every subject — is uncapped, along with your progress dashboard. New accounts also get 7 days of unlimited marking to start with, and we never ask for a card for that.
My subject isn’t live yet. Should I pay?
No — wait. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths are live now; the rest arrive through 2026. Join the waitlist for yours and we will tell you the day it is ready.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from your account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
I’m a student — can my parent pay?
Yes, and most do. Send them the parents page — it explains what Exaim is, what it replaces and what it costs, without the jargon.
How do schools pay?
By invoice and bank transfer, not card. A DPA is available on request before you commit to anything, and the rate is banded by how many students you put on.
