- What is a vertex?
- A corner point where two sides of a shape meet.
- What does 'regular polygon' mean?
- A polygon with all sides and all angles equal.
- What is a diagonal?
- A line segment connecting two non-adjacent vertices of a polygon.
- What are the key properties of a rhombus?
- 4 equal sides, opposite sides parallel, opposite angles equal.
- What is the difference between a trapezium and a parallelogram?
- A trapezium has exactly one pair of parallel sides; a parallelogram has both pairs parallel.
- Is a square a rectangle?
- Yes — a square is a special rectangle (and also a special rhombus).
- What does 'order of rotational symmetry 4' mean?
- The shape looks identical 4 times during one full 360° rotation.
- What is the sum of the interior angles of a triangle?
- 180°.
- What is the formula for the sum of interior angles of an n-sided polygon?
- (n − 2) × 180°.
- What is the formula for each exterior angle of a regular polygon?
- 360° ÷ n.
- What is the relationship between an interior angle and its exterior angle?
- They add up to 180° (angles on a straight line).
- Find the sum of interior angles of a regular hexagon (n = 6).
- (6 − 2) × 180 = 720°.
